An exploration into the female deep psyche – “Humanas de Niebla” unfolds, in sound & song, the rich intercultural myths & wild nature that resides in the human body.
Through a meditative approach to wake up the language of the body with music improvisation, space & movement, the performers aim to evoke the Mist beings of unconsciousness.
——
Humanas de Niebla has a unique approach to music performance. Their methodology generates safe and intimate spaces for the performers and listeners to trust each other’s bodies. This allows the music of the unconscious to manifest in immersive, inclusive and challenging experiences for the listeners. Their music is an introspection and evocation of the ceremonial, the healing, the spiritual, the functionality of expressions, the role of sound in our biological processes through a developed form of improvisation and composition.

Audio Excerpts of Humanas different performances:
“To sing means to use the soul-voice…
…It means to say on the breath the truth of one’s power and one’s need, to breathe soul over the thing that is ailing or in need of restoration. This is done by descending into the deepest mood of great love and feeling, till one’s desire for relationship with the wildish Self overflows, then to speak one’s soul from that frame of mind.”
